Born in Whittier, CA, then moving to Boise, ID at age 16, Christy filled her life with art. She knew as a teen her life would be involved in art one way or another. Christy Studied music for 10yrs and even played the piccolo in her college marching band.

"My Grandpa loved taking 8mm movies and 3-D stills. As a teen, my Uncle gave me my first 35mm, Nikkor camera. It was completely manual and I was in Heaven. My Dad taught me composition and was my first and best critic."

Christy spent several years working in retail “Big Box” businesses. The most important lesson she learned is “The Customer is Always Right!” While working retail she bought her first DSLR, a Canon and fell in love with the Digital features combined with a manual camera. A few years later, after family and friends saw some of her photography they encouraged her to open Aloha Photography which was first known as Photos by Christina.
