FAQ
How many images do you take?
The actual count will always vary depending on the size of wedding or time during the shoot.
Expect 1/4 of the images to be deleted during the editing process.

Are there any "hidden" costs in your wedding packages?

The quoted price is all you pay. I'll never change the price after the quote.
If we have already agreed on a price and then later my price increases on the
website, your price will stay the same.

What kind of camera equipment will be used?
I use a Canon 500D DSLR. I also have backup equipment in case of problems.
I realize weddings can never be re-shot.

How long will it take to get my images back?
It will take normally 2 weeks or less depending on other jobs I have going on.

Where should I print High Quality Poster sized prints?

I recommend Fedex Kinko's, Officemax or any other store that uses digital printing equipment.
I bring in my CD of images, let them know the image number and size of the print and within a few minutes they have it ready. At Officemax they also has glossy or matt paper available.

For Brides!
Just a few things to help your wedding day photos run smoothly...

Group photos!
Find a location that has adequate shade for the largest group to fit under
Use a location without distracting backgrounds
Make a list of the people you want in the photos
Tell your relatives in advance when they should arrive for the photos

Couple photos!
Plan at least 30 mins. for couple photos
Ideally 20 mins. before sunset and 20 mins. after
The best time for photos is early morning or the "golden hour"- sunset
Location- Dramatic is best, but here on Oahu the beaches usually win out.
I can recommend some nice beaches if you need ideas

Photos in the Dressing Room!
If you are self conscious or modest, of course we will leave the room whenever you ask.
Some good images happen in the dressing room. When the dress is actually going over your head
with all your bridesmaids helping Will your dressing photos be on my website?
My policy is if it show more then could be seen in a swimsuit, I won't show it.

Brides Dressing Room!
Pick a room with alot of natural light.
Have your girls clean up the non-wedding messes like
piles of jeans or sneakers. Don't try to make it look too neat.
Messes are ok if they are wedding messes.
Good messes maybe dresses hanging and shoes lying around on the floor, but they look awful if they
are still in the box or wrapped in plastic bags.
Flowers also look best in a vase, instead of the box from the florist.

Dance to the Photographer!
Sometime in the evening when its time to shoot the fun dancing shots, it would be spectacular of you and your wedding party to turn and dance facing a little bit towards me. Sometimes I end up with photos just of  backside only. Just show off to the camera a bit, usually those photos turn out wonderful. During the formal dances, not to worry, just ignore me completely.

Did you know it is customary to feed the photographers?

You may not feed some wedding vendors that are only there for a short time, but I won't survive a 9 or 10 hour day without dinner. I don't normally shoot much during mealtime but when I do I can have the camera close by in case anything interesting happens. If you could seat us about 20 feet from your own table that would be the perfect distance to get candid shots of you and your bridal party at the table.

My photojournalistic style!
I've seen a wedding where the photographer overpowered everything. He even stopped the first dance mid-step
to take pictures. At that point I decided, I will never take control of your wedding. This is your one and only special moment, and during that time, I hope to be there silently recording the love story unfolding.
